ELEGANCE CAR respects the confidentiality of its customers and their personal information. These may include our accountants, website hosting provider OVHcloud, Google Analytics and other providers involved in maintaining our website or fulfilling legal obligations. We do not communicate customers’ personal contact details to vehicle sellers, buyers or other commercial partners unless necessary and supported by an appropriate legal basis in connection with a relevant transaction. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, applicable GDPR requirements and safeguards are respected. In particular, data collected through Google Analytics may be transferred to the United States; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

ELEGANCE CAR implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, accidental loss or destruction. Our website is operated by ELEGANCE CAR and hosted by OVHcloud. Access to customer information is restricted to persons who require it for legitimate professional purposes. We take reasonable steps to maintain the security, confidentiality and accuracy of the information in our possession.
Article 05
Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer period is required by law or justified by applicable legal obligations. Customer records and correspondence are retained for the duration of the commercial relationship and, where necessary, for applicable legal limitation periods.
Accounting records, invoices and supporting documents are generally retained for ten years in accordance with French law. Information relating to prospective customers is generally retained for no longer than three years from the last relevant contact for commercial prospecting purposes, unless a different lawful retention period applies. Newsletter subscription information is retained while the subscription remains active, subject to applicable legal requirements. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.
