While thousands of restored 190SLs exist worldwide, it is increasingly uncommon to find original, unrestored examples in such remarkable condition.

This particular roadster was originally purchased by the owner of the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Nice, France. After 42 years of ownership, he sold the car in 2001 due to declining health. Since then, the second and current owner has driven the car sparingly – covering just 6,000 km over the past 18 years.

Finished in elegant Graphite Grey, the car is beautifully complemented by a Mid-Red leather interior, offering a distinctive and rarely seen period-correct aesthetic. The original leather remains in wonderfully preserved condition with no tears, showcasing a rich patina that reflects over 60 years of authenticity.

Mechanically, the vehicle runs and drives like new. It retains all its original features, including a removable hardtop and the rare third transverse seat, an optional extra at the time.

The impeccable quality and attractive styling made the 190SL a massive success-selling 25,881 units before production ceased in 1963. Many of these models were delivered to the United States, where its driving demeanor and elegant styling were highly valued.
